Most of the people who find me are in the middle of something they didn't see coming. Or they saw it coming and have no idea what to do now that it's here.
Maybe you got tapped on the shoulder. Maybe you retired and expected relief but got vertigo instead. Maybe you're still in the chair but something has shifted and you can't name it yet. Whatever brought you here, you don't need a pep talk. You need someone who's been through it and can help you think clearly again.
Here's how I work.
This is the core of what I do. When the title changes, or disappears, or stops meaning what it used to, everything downstream shifts: identity, relationships, purpose, daily structure. I work with people navigating career exits, role changes, retirement, and the deeper personal reckonings that come with them. We don't just plan your next move. We figure out who you are now, and we build from there.
Some clients come to me while they're still in the seat. The transition they're facing is internal: how to lead differently, how to stop performing and start being honest about what's working and what isn't. We work on presence, relationships, and the kind of self-awareness that makes you better to be around, not just more effective on paper.
I've spent decades on nonprofit boards and have seen firsthand how governance failures and leadership gaps can undermine even the most important missions. I coach nonprofit leaders and teams through organizational change, succession, and the particular challenges of leading when the mission matters more than the margin.

We have a conversation. A real one. Thirty minutes on Zoom, no cost, no commitment. We talk about what's going on and whether I'm the right person to help. Sometimes I am. Sometimes I'm not, and I'll tell you that.
If we decide to work together, the engagement typically runs six to twelve months. Sessions are usually on Zoom, though in-person is available if you're in Houston. There's no rigid program. We build something around what you actually need.
